The Wicked Priest series comes to a fitting conclusion in this exciting action epic. As Shinkai continues his journey around Japan in the middle of the Meiji period, he is robbed by a woman gambler named Maboroshi Ogin, whom he had defeated when he uncovered a crooked game of dice. Joining up with a group of squatters in an old rundown mansion he runs afoul of the evil government agent trying to take over a shipping company run by a kindly boss played by Shimura Takashi (of 7 Samurai fame). As things heat up in town, Shinkai heads out to have a final death match with Blind Ryutatsu, the ”Whipmaster.”
