Episodes 7, 8, and 9 bring the past and present together for the first time as a movement is afoot to try and take over Yokohama and turn it into a nation of its own.  Following their defeat at Goryokaku on the island of Hokkaido, survivors plot an attack on Yokohama that could devastate the population during a visit by British royalty.  Coupled with the appearance of 3 drifters from Mr. Chidori's past, the stage is set for some unusual and gripping stories.  The series keeps improving as these events begin to take place in and around The Mermaid Saloon.
