SCARIER THAN A HORROR MOVIE ARE THE CONSPIRACIES OF EVIL BEINGS

Evil is the order of the day as ambition clouds the minds of those seeking power in a samurai clan. The main concubine of the lord hatches a plot to have her son take over leadership of the clan by having the lord’s official wife murdered. The evil doesn’t stop there as all involved sink into debasement of epic proportions.

Even her handsome lover (played by superstar Tamura Masakazu) has no compunction about taking part in the evil plot… thinking that he will ascend to a higher rank. Not a single character in this film has a glimmer of goodness as they all descend into a hell of their own making. This was master filmmaker Ikehiro Kazuo’s favorite movie. A true masterpiece of cinematic artistry!
