A 3 Hour Sleeping Pill

Having trouble getting to sleep? Pop Miyamoto Musashi Stage Play into your DVD player and you'll be in a deep sleep in no time. This was almost 3 hours of pure boredom.

There was almost no action in this show and what was there was very poorly executed. The story was boring, contrived, and just plain ridiculous. The philosophical part could have been told better in a half hour by a good director.

With the exception of the two leads, the rest of the cast were unattractive and completely lacking any charisma. The only thing that pulled this DVD from a one-star to a two-star rating were the two actors who played Musashi and Kojiro. Their screen presence and charisma were enormous and their parts were very entertaining to watch. They both did a superb job considering the boring story and lifeless cast they had to work with.

I cannot think of any reason to recommend this incredibly tedious and lifeless show. If you want to see Musashi, try Miyamoto Musashi 2014. If you want a live stage play that is superbly crafted and full of well choreographed action, watch 7 Souls in the Skull Castle. Avoid this one at all costs.
