A young girl is blinded and abandoned and is saved by a wandering former samurai who takes her under his wing and teaches her how to use the sword.

As she develops into a master of martial arts, her profession becomes that of a bounty hunter. Many men test her sword, and many men die.

Using a reverse grip style similar to Zato Ichi, she cuts a grand path across Japan, while searching for the mother who abandoned her.
